Juicy J a annoncé un nouvel album appelé L'agitation continue. Présenté comme la «première sortie indépendante» du rappeur vétéran depuis plus de 10 ans, il sortira le 14 octobre via eOne.
Pour l'effort à venir, Juicy J a rassemblé une liste impressionnante de stars du hip-hop, dont ASAP Rocky, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, 2 Chainz, Logic et Rico Nasty. Jay Rock, Conway the Machine, Ty Dolla $ ign, NLE Choppa, Young Dolph et Project Pat figurent également sur l'album, tout comme Lord Infamous, membre de Three 6 Mafia.
Alors que les précédents disques de Juicy J étaient sortis par de grands labels comme Columbia, L'agitation continue voit le rappeur de Memphis revenir à ses racines: le cadre d'eOne Alan Grunblatt, qui a été le premier à proposer à Three 6 Mafia un contrat d'enregistrement.
«Je suis ravi de travailler à nouveau avec Juicy J», a commenté Grunblatt dans un communiqué. «J'ai travaillé avec lui pour la première fois à l'époque des Three 6 Mafia et je suis très fier de son succès. C'est un artiste, rappeur, écrivain et producteur étonnant et aux multiples facettes. »
Juicy J est intervenu en disant: «Alan a donné notre premier contrat à Three 6 Mafia, il a cru en moi à l'époque et il croit en ce que je fais aujourd'hui en tant qu'artiste et en tant que producteur. C'était le plus logique de libérer L'agitation continue indépendamment et eOne m'a offert la meilleure offre où je possède 100% de mes maîtres.
