Taylor Swift n’est pas le seul à avoir une surprise New Music Friday. Le producteur écossais Hudson Mohawke a sorti un nouvel EP solo, Coeur de la nuit, complètement à l'improviste. Diffusez-le en entier ci-dessous via Bandcamp.
Cette nouvelle baisse intervient moins d'un an après que HudMo et Lunice se sont réunis pour leur deuxième projet collaboratif sous le nom de TNGHT. Coeur de la nuit rassemble quatre morceaux au total, dont certains sont des remixes – ou des «bootlegs R&B classiques» comme il l'appelle – de chansons de Beyoncé («Baby Boy»), Sean Paul et Christina Milian («Dip It Low»), et plus encore.
Le dernier album solo de Mohawke, Lanterne, a chuté il y a plus de cinq ans. Depuis lors, en plus de réactiver TNGHT, il a produit et remixé du matériel de Kanye West, Anohni, ASAP Rocky, Banks et DJ Shadow.
