Kamaiyah a sonné en 2020 avec un projet appelé Je l'ai fait. Maintenant, elle cherche à clôturer l'année de la même manière: le rappeur d'Oakland a annoncé un nouvel effort, Aucune explication, prévu plus tard ce mois-ci.
Couvrant 11 pistes, Aucune explication est en fait la troisième (!) collection de Kamaiyah de l’année suivant celle mentionnée ci-dessus Je l'ai fait et septembre Nuits d'Oakland, une mixtape collaborative avec un autre talent de Bay Area Capolow. Comme le projet le montre clairement, Kamaiyah ne répond à personne, et ne laisse rien – même le cauchemar qu'est la pandémie – retenir sa prolificité.
The Oakland MC rend ce message clair comme du cristal sur «Still I Rise» avec Jackboy, le premier single de Aucune explication. Dans un communiqué, Kamaiyah a déclaré que la piste "parle de ce que nous ressentons tous, les temps dans lesquels nous vivons sont difficiles et les gens essaient de vous retenir, mais le travail acharné et la hâte vous feront toujours avancer.
