Après des années d'anticipation, Run the Jewels a officiellement annoncé son nouvel album, Exécutez les joyaux 4. Le suivi des RTJ3, l'effort de 11 pistes est prévu numériquement le 5 juin via Jewel Runners / BMG. Des versions physiques sont attendues plus tard cette année en septembre.
Le long métrage comprend une liste impressionnante d'invités, dont Greg Nice de Nice & Smooth et DJ Premier, qui sont apparus sur le premier single "Ooh LA LA". Rage Against the Machine de Zack de La Rocha est apparu dans la vidéo de cette chanson, mais il s'avère qu'il figure également sur le LP aux côtés de Pharrell Williams sur une coupe appelée "Ju $ t". L'icône de la soul Mavis Staples et la reine de l'âge de pierre Josh Homme rejoignent RTJ sur "Pulling the Pin", tandis que 2 Chainz se lance dans "Out of Sight". Le "Yankee and the Brave (Ep. 4)" précédemment révélé est également sur la tracklist.
Pointage à 40 minutes, RTJ4 a été enregistré avec le producteur légendaire Rick Rubin dans ses studios Shangri-La ainsi que dans les studios Electric Lady de New York. El-P et Killer Mike ont révélé qu'ils travaillaient avec Rubin l'été dernier, déclarant à l'époque: "… Ce disque va vous frapper au visage et brûler tout sur son passage."

Run the Jewels était censé accompagner RATM lors de leur tournée de retrouvailles reportée depuis, poursuivant une association qui a commencé lorsque de La Rocha est apparu sur le Exécutez les joyaux 2 chanson "Fermez les yeux et comptez pour baiser". Bien que cette tournée ne se produise qu’en 2021, au moins «Ju $ t» arrivera dans quelques semaines pour ravir les fans.
