Chaque mois d'août depuis trois ans, Oh Sees sort un nouvel album: Orc en 2017, Smote Reverser en 2018 et l'année dernière Visage Stabber. Comme tout en 2020, il semble que le prochain effort du groupe dirigé par John Dwyer arrivera un peu plus tard que prévu cette année. Prenant le surnom d'OSees, les prolifiques rockers garage ont annoncé aujourd'hui un nouvel album, Menace protéiforme, prévu pour une sortie le 18 septembre via Castle Face Records.
Décrit comme «l'apogée de la scuzz», Menace protéiforme est une collection de 13 titres appelant à «apaiser la haine» avec un «club» d'amour. Un communiqué de presse typique dit que les chansons sont conçues comme un cri de ralliement pour «se lever et être vigilant» contre «les tueurs de planètes». La déclaration continue,

OSees a en fait présenté un aperçu de toute la collection en mars avec une vidéo de répétition. Maintenant, cependant, ils ont révélé le premier single studio du LP, «Dreary Nonsense». Écoutez ci-dessous et regardez également le Menace protéiforme illustration et tracklist.
Alors que les États-Unis échouent encore lamentablement à des concerts, même au drive-in, les OSees espèrent faire une tournée européenne en novembre. Leur itinéraire est en avance et les billets peuvent être trouvés ici.
Plus tôt ce mois-ci, Dwyer a sorti un album de son projet solo expérimental acid-folk Damaged Bugg intitulé, Bug sur Yonkers. Il a également récemment annoncé un nouveau projet appelé Bent Arcana, un supergroupe de «jazz fusion improvisé» mettant en vedette la télévision de la radio Kyp Malone, Ryan Swayer (Thurston Moore, Charles Gayle), Marcos Rodriguez (Jolis yeux), Laena «Geronimo» Myers-Ionita (Feels), Andres Renteria (Flying Lotus, Nick Waterhouse) et d'autres. Leur premier album éponyme sort le 21 août.
