Le Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival démarre ce week-end du 15 au 17 avril. Billie Eilish, Harry Styles et Swedish House Mafia with the Weeknd seront les têtes d’affiche du festival à l’Empire Polo Club à Indio, en Californie. (Il revient avec la même programmation le week-end prochain, du 22 au 24 avril.) La programmation comprend également Phoebe Bridgers, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Danny Elfman, Doja Cat, Run the Jewels, Jamie xx, Carly Rae Jepsen, Vince Staples, Japanese Breakfast, Baby Keem, Caribou et, étonnamment, Arcade Fire.
Comme d’habitude, les participants à Coachella devront choisir entre des sets concurrents. Le samedi, par exemple, vous devrez choisir entre les nominés du meilleur nouvel artiste Japanese Breakfast et Arlo Parks. Et si vous voulez attraper le set surprise d’Arcade Fire, vous devrez probablement renoncer à Slowthai, City Girls et PUP.

Avant l’annulation du festival en 2020 liée au COVID-19, les têtes d’affiche annoncées comprenaient Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine et Travis Scott. Ocean sera plutôt la tête d’affiche de Coachella 2023. Le statut de Scott en tant que tête d’affiche a été remis en question à la suite de la tragédie d’Astroworld 2021. La tranche de 2022, qui avait auparavant une exigence de vaccin en place, ne nécessitera pas de vaccins, de masques ou de tests négatifs.
