Bruce Springsteen reviendra le 23 octobre avec son vingtième album studio, Lettre à vous. Encore plus excitant, l'effort de 12 pistes réunit Springsteen avec le E Street Band, leur première sortie du genre ensemble depuis Haute espoirs en 2014.
Lettre à vous présente neuf chansons Springsteen récemment écrites, ainsi que de nouveaux enregistrements de trois compositions inédites des années 1970: «Janey Needs a Shooter», «If I Was the Priest» et «Song for Orphans».
L'album a été enregistré avec Roy Bittan, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, Garry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, Charlie Giordano et Jake Clemons. Ron Aniello a été producteur aux côtés de Springsteen, tandis que Bob Clearmountain mixait le disque et Bob Ludwig le maîtrisait.
«J'adore la nature émotionnelle de Letter To You», déclare Springsteen dans un communiqué. «Et j’adore le son du E Street Band qui joue entièrement en studio, d’une manière que nous n’avons jamais fait auparavant, et sans overdubs. Nous avons réalisé l'album en seulement cinq jours, et cela s'est avéré être l'une des plus belles expériences d'enregistrement que j'aie jamais eues. "
