“This year’s Celebration honors Prince’s extraordinary musical genius yet more importantly, it honors his spirit, humanity, and love that defined his life,” L. Londell McMillan, Prince’s former manager, said in a press release. “Ten years later, his music continues to unite people across generations and around the world, but what feels especially important right now is creating space for community, healing, joy, and reflection, values Prince carried with him every day.
The five-day celebration will also feature presentations of unreleased Prince music and rare archival concert content as well as shine a spotlight on Prince’s philanthropic endeavors.
A previously unreleased recording, “With This Tear,” was recently unveiled by Prince’s estate.
